The Web is percolating today over a new online video ad for a product called Microsoft Songsmith.
I repeat, this is real. The ad originates from a product page hosted at Microsoft.com, so unless it's some kind of elaborate hack or bizarre (masochistic?) hoax campaign by Microsoft itself, that's about as much proof as it takes.
You can actually download a free trial of Songsmith from Microsoft's page. That would be the ultimate proof, I guess.
Dear god! Please tell me this IS a joke, the greatest joke in Microsoft history ... besides Vista of course. Zing!
My guess is that this was produced for internal demonstrations, the type of thing you show to stiff suits and shareholders that need this sort of thing. Why they would make it public is a mystery to me.
Microsoft obviously needs to hire a new advertising staff. The Bill Gates/Jerry Seinfeld ads stunk and their attempts at spoofing the Apple ads have gone belly up as well.
:O
I am at a lost for words
Too bad KC, you can't start your song with out the words!
