Are the five senses all we get?

The newest, strangest, and as a result, coolest, is a device that transmits electrical data to your tongue from a video camera, enabling you to essentially see with your tongue. See some video of it in use here.

Tremendous potential here, for the blind, the field of neuroplasticity, and Gene Simmons. Devices like this are teaching scientists, and soon us, that with the help of technology, our brains can transcend the five-sense minimum, enabling us to explore so much of the world currently outside our ken.
