Senate cleans up

It's a tough week to be a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. You're working all night, every day, and all the MFL points are going to the Minnesota Senate, which, as near as I can tell, has its members home by gametime.
Yep, tough life, but -- hey -- you wanted the gig.
Here, for the record are the leaders in points this week:
Sen. Ann Rest - 525 points
Sen. Linda Scheid - 370 points
Sen. Tony Lourey - 360 points
Sen. John Marty - 315 points
Sen. Yvonne Prettner Solon - 286 points
Sen. Steve Dille - 285 points
Sen. Katie Sieben - 275 points
Sen. Dennis Frederickson - 265 points
Sen. Mee Mousa - 260 points
Sen. Sharon Erickson Ropes - 251 points
The big surprise there is Sen. Dennis Frederickson. Any time you can have a Republican lead the league -- more or less -- in points, that's all to the good MFL-wise.
There was a lot of wailing among some MFL teams that were "House-heavy" last week that their hold on top spots would disappear. But as the week ends, there's been no change in who's occupying the top of either league.
I haven't heard Sen. Pogemiller say what the plan is for the upper chamber next week, so I have no advice this week on what you might consider doing in this week's free agent draft. With House deadlines coming up, it might be time to reinvest in a House member or two.
Or maybe not. That's your job.
Ugh... I was hoping to make up more ground than I did this week. Still in third. And with no advice from the commish this week, what's a guy to do? I guess the Redressing will happen later...
What I said, Tony Lourey, Rookie of the Year. Go Carriers!

This is indicative, to me anyway, of the need to change the scoring surrounding bills heard and the like, as has been discussed earlier.

For what it's worth, my numbers show there's a much bigger hurdle between BH/CP and TF/FP than there is between BF and the former two, which suggests maybe the points for TF/FP should be set relatively higher next season.
But again, my strategy for this season was: since you need bills to get points, draft the people who file the most bills.
(bob adds: This idea makes a great deal of sense.)

Freshman Senator Sharon Ropes Erickson helped Team MILVETS move up two places this week.
