It'just so... wrong..

What claim to they have to the songs? Is Ric taking a payoff to let them do it?

Scarily enough, the Mrs. and I were having a conversation about "what if the Cars reformed?" a couple of weeks ago. This is not what I was hoping for.

If Ric O isn't in the lineup, they are clearly not "The Cars". This is just another attempt to make nostalgia profitable.

Actually...the second I heard about (TR and Kas)
going right back out on the road, with the Cars,I could hear our beloved Runt, singing the lead vocals to most, if not all, of RO's (and Co.)
hits. Not to mention KS doing harmonies, and some lead of his own. I think it could work.
As a working musician all my life (I think that tearing the drums down, packing, and dragging, sitting up, the gig, etc.) classifies as working, I believe Todd is out to get a very much deserved pay check out of this tour, same with KS, and PP. And same with the Blondie klan, so what the f@#$...milk it as much as you can Todd...I'll catch the gig somewhere between California , and Vegas. Good luck to all...have fun...KK.

This whole project would be OK if they had a different name. All they have to do is drop the name CARS from the name of the group. I haven't heard Ric complaining about this yet so I suspect he must be getting a cut from the profits....
