Catholic guilt

Every year during Lent I still don't eat meat on Fridays or on Ash Wednesday. I just can't do it. I'm afraid. I might even go to Mass tonight. Not because I'm afraid, but because I love tradition.

I'm thinking about having a fish fry tonight. Of course that will involve setting off my fire alarm. I'm not a bad cook. The alarm is just really sensitive... I think.

Speaking of guilt...ah, nevermind. I'm not real sure where I was going to go with that one.

Once instilled, Catholic guilt never leaves you completely. But as a recovering Catholic myself I assure you that it becomes easier to squelch as the years go by. I find that a nice prime rib dinner usually does the trick.

Anyone else notice how the word "GUILT" looks like the word "QUILT" in the Recent Entries list for this Cue entry?

Anyone else click on it expecting to read about a nice warm blanket created by some old ladies' church group?
