No, wierd-usually I am pretty sarcastic on these postings, I wonder if I'm getting sick or something. The only New York Doll I really knew anything about before you started playing the heartbreakers stuff was David Johansen or buster poindexter or whatever his name is now. I actually saw him and the Harry Smiths on some Good Morning news show with one of the Gumball brothers-i think it was the not so fat one. They sound pretty good live-i would see them if they toured.
My roomate got this Vanity Fair magazine that has Nick Cave in it-the magazine had a naked scarlett johnasen on it so I opened it up to see if there were any interesting articles in the magazine and Nick Cave was featured under an article titled "New Hollywood". It had a nice little write up about all the stuff Nick Cave has been up to lately.
And I like the Johnny Thunders stuff, and I hope there are a bunch of 40 year old comic book guys sitting in their mom's basement, eating their ho-hos or whatever and reading the newest issue of detective comics while they argue online about the number of episodes in the original star trek series and listen to 89.3. And I hope these people do get angry when you play stuff they don't like, and then complain about it and discuss it on internet chat boards with other comic book guys like they are some kind of unappreciated pop culture geniuses or something. But, unfortunately , things aren't that way, are they? But, its not a perfect world and you can't always get what you want. So I guess we'll all just have to keep on hoping...
