Psychiatry 101 What's the loose teeth dream suppose to represent again? Posted by Mary Lucia at 5:15 PM
Pregnancy, I think. Something about how women used to lose teeth a lot when pregnant due to vitamins being diverted. Obviously, I'm not real clear on it either. I'd like to know also. I'm glad I'm not the only one! :-) Pregnancy? I have that dream at least once a week, and have for most of my life. I always assumed it was about your body telling you to look at something you weren't facing (whenever I'm in the dream, I always think, "Crap, I forgot to brush my teeth for the past two years"). ss I also dream regularly that I have given myself the worst stinking haircut on earth. Shoot, it better no be pregnancy. They make the I (heart) Mary Lucia shirts in onesie size, right? I'm pretty sure anything about teeth has to do with money. my guess is it's memories of childhood. losing teeth is a big deal to kids and one of life's stranger events. p.s. taking melatonin gives me really vivid dreams. Dreams about losing teeth symbolize fear of aging. (Seriously. That's what my dream analysis book says). Wow I didn't know this was a common dream. I think auntie's book makes sense. For me dreams often reflect either what I've been experiencing recently (like, did you go to the dentist recently?), past memories of significant persons/events that will never leave your brain, or fear of losing control (like my most chronic dream genre of being late to something really important & feeling panic). ann |
