Got a great ticket winning phone call tonight!
I had just gotten a call from the First Ave staff asking if I'd announce that the Soul Asylum show that had been sold out in the Entry for weeks was now going to happen in the Mainroom, in an hour! Then I gave away tickets for the Go Team! and a guy won them as he was standing outside the club on a smoke break! They broadcast the Current to the smokers which gave me the idea of doing a quick set for those standing out there waiting for the Soul Asylum show to start, including a song by Tommy Stinson who was making his debut on bass. It's awesome when you feel like you're doing radio OF the moment.
