October Sundays
August 17, 2005

We are really happy to tell you about a concert series we're planning at the Fitzgerald Theater for Sunday nights in October. We have commissioned some of the finest local bands to participate with The Current's Guest Session Sundays. We have asked each band to invite two (or more) guests who can extend the group's creativity and sound. The Fitzgerald Theater is Minnesota Public Radio's largest broadcasting studio so we will record the performance for play on 89.3 The Current. The bands are currently working on their guest lists. We expect to know all the musicians who will participate fairly soon, probably around Labor Day. The band line up is as follows:

Oct 2nd - Happy Apple
Oct 9th - Honeydogs
Oct 16th - Boiled in Lead
Oct 23rd - Polara
Oct 30th - The Hopefuls

All shows are at the Fitzgerald Theater and start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available starting August 30th, and we'll remind you about it when we're closer to the date.

We're planning some pre-show parties for our fantastic Founding Members that will include food-treats, a cash bar, visits from radio hosts and a few more surprises. Mark your calendars now!

Excellent. I will never quietly whine about 89.3 Solera events again.

Drew - Just a couple of days ago we had a big brainstorming about St Paul. We have some other things up our sleeves, too, so don't despair!
