« Late nights and early mornings | In which the Fitzgerald becomes a movie set » The Vinyl ShippedJuly 19, 2005 At long last, the vinyl has shipped, so you should be getting a copy soon if you became a Founding Member. Our membership department showed everyone a copy this morning and I have to admit it looks cool. Go ahead, break the wrapper and take a peek. I have been spending a lot of time working on MPR's capital campaign. If you have not been in the neighborhood for a while you should drive by and check out our new building. Yesterday I went inside. The floor where Cultural Programming will be relocated is really starting to take shape. You can see the space where the new music library will be and our conference room has been closed in and is being used as a conference room by the construction folks. Sheetrock is going up on the lower levels, too. It is very exciting. I'm sure it's especially heartening for 89.3's DJs, several of whom are sharing a single cube which is right outside my office. Pretty soon everyone will have a separate work space, and there will be four beautiful new music studios. 89.3's street team will be at the Art Car Parade this week-end in case you are looking for an activity for a summer afternoon. Our entire staff is going to have a celebration of our 6th month anniversary, too. I couldn't be happier about the work this amazing crew has put in over the past few months. They continue to inspire me with their skills, knowledge, and passion. You must be 13 or older to submit any information to Minnesota Public Radio.
