« Making the web site serve you better | The Vinyl Shipped » Late nights and early morningsJuly 12, 2005 A few of us went to the Dylan/Willie Nelson concert last night. It was a wonderful summer evening and the music was fantastic. We met a lot of listeners and enjoyed seeing people wandering about in our t-shirts. Dylan's music is aging well -- some of older his songs seem to have been written yesterday. I think that will be true for many years, decades, or maybe centuries to come. I'm just happy to be living at the same time he is. On Wednesdays I have a class at the gym at 7:00 AM so it was a bit of a rapid turnaround. But here's the news - we have a new DJ. She's ELLEN LYNDE and she makes her debut on overnights this week-end. Ellen has just completed her Master's in Linguistics at the University of Minnesota and is also fluent in French. While at the U, Ellen was a DJ at Radio K. She also had a summer internship last year at Hubbard Broadcasting. Please help us welcome Ellen to the DJ team. We're thrilled to have her here and to have more hands on deck. Posted by Sarah Lutman at 11:00 AM

Thanks for the warm wishes! I'm very excited to be here. I'll see if I can't slip in some French music from time to time--there's some great stuff out there. Posted by: Ellen Lynde at July 16, 2005 10:24 PM

Excited there's a new DJ around! Hope since you're fluent in french you'll play a good amount of french stuff every once in a while. I'd love to discover some cool new (or old) french artists and songs. From one Francophile to another -- Congrats on the position.
