I had family visiting for my daughter's graduation so I was showing them the Twin Cities. On to the business at hand. The Current is having an event on Monday night, June 13th, to meet and greet people who want to volunteer for the station. If you want to attend and find out about new volunteer opportunities all you have to do is RSVP to the web log here and we'll send you detailed information. A few staff folks are going to be there including Thorn (and me and who knows who else). There'll be food and beverages (which is why you need to RSVP), swag, and a chance to meet other 89.3 listeners. It's all taking place at Solera in downtown Minneapolis at 6:00 PM. Volunteers are making a huge difference here at The Current. We have a Street Team that's visiting dozens of concerts, and we are also recruiting for the fund drive that begins later next week.
