« June is bursting out | Volunteer "Meet and Greet" » Studios full, interns coming and going, and vinyl updateJune 03, 2005 We have three bands and two interviews coming and going from the studios today. This makes for a very busy day for the engineers (ok, an insane day). They have to set up for each activity separately and get all the mixes just right. The band Ida is upstairs right now, live with Steve Seel. In a few hours we'll have Bill T Jones in for an interview with Mary. I am looking forward to hearing that one. I've always thought that dance is one of the hardest things to talk about on the radio, but if anyone can do it, it will be Mary and Bill T. He's performing this week-end at the Walker in case you want to go. Today is the last day of work for our high school intern who has been doing a senior project for the past month. We are also welcoming a couple of new interns soon, and so next week I'll introduce them to you. For those of you who get the weekly e-newsletter, you're about to get a longer version of the following information about our Founding Member vinyl. The test pressing came back less-than-perfect, so we aren't prepared to send it just yet. However, the CD version will be mailed to all Founding Members next week. To read the details just check out the e-newsletter, which should be in your mailboxes shortly. You must be 13 or older to submit any information to Minnesota Public Radio. Your submission may be edited for length, clarity, or content, and may be posted on this or other MPR Web sites or read on the air. MPR reserves the right to reuse or republish your submission, or to withhold it from publication. See Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. |
I'm interested on becoming an intern and would like more information.
