« Last day to become Founding Member | Presenting The Current » Let's not talk about the weatherMay 25, 2005 The Founding Member campaign is officially complete, and we thank you very much for your support. On Thursday, Steve Nelson and a few other people are going to listen to the test pressing of the vinyl, and we hope everything will be OK with it so we can get it pressed and out to all of you as soon as possible. Today Steve, Thorn, and I had the last in our series of planning conversations to prepare for a larger confab next week. Next Wednesday we're meeting with all the other divisions to take a look at plans and budgets and make sure we're all on the same page. We have also been in a major fund-raising mode as we continue to try to develop the contributions and underwriting we need to pay for 89.3's radio and web services. Steve, Thorn, and Mark Wheat participated in a terrific "Behind The Scenes" session for new and continuing underwriters on Monday evening. That was the the same day that Mr. Wheat appeared on The Morning Show from 5:00 - 9:00 AM and then came back for his own regular shift from 7:00 PM - Midnight. What a trooper! Thorn and I had a conversation about whether we should program an entire day of music about rain. I don't think we will, but it's tempting.
