« Saturday special edition | Developments » From the construction zoneFebruary 15, 2005 The play list for last night's Valentine's Day programming is now available for your viewing and discussion on the 89.3 web site. Click here to take a look. Personally I thought there were quite a few surprises among our listeners' preferences, and some songs I'm not at all sure I had been thinking were love songs! We'll have the audio archived there in a little while (it's taking longer than expected but it's coming, it's coming!) Yesterday we had Bettie Serveert live in the studios, and we put toegther another huge music order. Someone just went to pick up the CDs. There is some great stuff in the new pile, including a lot of older music, so watch out for some significant spice hitting the play list in a few days. But by far the biggest news of the week is the fact that our building construction has reached such a point that the drilling is about to start inside Steve's office, which is next door to my office. We're not sure exactly how this will work out, but the construction workers arrive at 5:00 AM and are supposed to be finished with the interior work by 9:00 AM. That's each day for the next several days. During the rest of the day, we have to use headphones just to hear the radio and a few people have decided Advil isn't effective so maybe they'll work from home. It's exciting to see the new building going up but a bit nerve wracking to watch (and listen to) the construction. This is another week chock-full of media interviews - magazines, newspapers, and TV are covering us like crazy. We also had an inquiry from some students at Stanford who are taking a class called "The Art of the Radio Essay" and Steve has talked to a few high school newspapers. It's great to see so much interest in our new station. Posted by Sarah Lutman at 02:16 PM

It's been mentioned before that you were going to post a list of CD's that you have, or CD's that you wanted, so that people could begin donating them. Any idea when that list will be posted? Seeing that you just bought a bunch of new CD's, I'm leery of donating something that you already have. Posted by: RickJ at February 15, 2005 03:56 PMIs there any way you could post a few pics of the studios and construction? Don't know if anyone else would be interested, but I'm sort of a construction junkie :) Posted by: Deane at February 16, 2005 02:12 AMIs it possible to make a wishlist thru amazon so we can see what you want and need. I so wanna help this station but since I am a net listener, living in Georgia, the usual donation vehicle isnt really useful for me. I want to help this station directly.
