« Why not call us? | Saturday special edition » The North CountryFebruary 10, 2005 Greetings. I'm back from my mini-vacation. I went up to Ely, Minnesota and went dogsledding at Wintergreen with a friend from California who had never experienced the beauty of a Minnesota winter. Ely rewarded us with bright clear skies and not-too-cold (actually they were perfect) north country days. Our two guides, Chris and Domenic, helped our small group of intrepid travelers get to know the 61 dogs in the kennel, and encouraged us as we became certified beginning mushers. Strongly recommended! While I was away Steve and the 89.3 gang came up with the idea of playing the World's Best Love Songs on Monday night for Valentine's Day. Send us your suggestions! I noticed that Michael Wells (our web producer) has been churning out the work this week. He started a discussion over in the Forum to gather your ideas about the best break up songs. I don't think we'll play these on Monday but the list is growing. He has also been working on our first email newsletter. Several hundred people have signed up to get this and you can join them, and get the inaugural edition (soon), by clicking here. Last but not least, check out the web site Michael has put together where you can post a picture of your 89.3 swag. And now....I have to go catch up on my email. Thanks for listening! The lossless version would be several hundred megs, so I don't think we'd be able to post that anytime soon. Sorry! Posted by: Michael Wells at February 10, 2005 04:59 PMAm I the only one who feels an irrational desire for an 89.3 t-shirt and doesn't know how to get one? There must be a cure for people like me. That day is not all wine and roses for everyone. Breaking up is part of love - or maybe the inevitable outcome... Posted by: leah at February 11, 2005 12:32 PM

Is there any chance that you could put a larger, non-lossy version of the logo and/or poster (I assume you're using something like Illustrator to do this work) up on the site somewhere? My wife and I have had some ideas about doing something up big; larger than 11x17.
Give us artsy freaks some basic tools and look/feel stuff, and we'll give you better than a poster up somewhere in Central Park.
