If an opera character is reading a book, does the font need to be historically accurate?

If the audience can see the font--which they can, in a broadcast to movie theaters--then the answer might be yes.

Which, according to a Huffington Post article, is one of many small details which could lead to some big labor disputes at the Metropolitan Opera this summer.
