Singing is in our nature

Posted at 1:14 PM on July 9, 2012 by Alison Young (0 Comments)

There's a fascinating piece in Salon about evolution hard-wiring us to make music.

(We have been making music for a long time. This is a 40,000 year old bird bone flute)

What's concluded is this: "Whatever the reasons human beings create and enjoy art - and given the diversity of the arts, there are probably many such reasons - it seems clear that...art emerges, somehow, from our biology."
