All this week, Morning Glories will feature what we at Classical MPR have deemed five must-have symphonies. Tune in at 10 a.m. to hear them live, but if you miss them on the air, we'll be revealing each one right here on the blog every day.
We'll also have individual lists from our different hosts, and today it's Emily Reese and Mellisa Ousley! Enjoy!
My favorite symphony is Rachmaninoff Symphony #2 op27.
The first time I heard it I fell in love with it. The record belonged to a friend so I traded a Carmina Burana recording for it. Second choice Mahler Symphony #6.
Third any Brahms. Fourth Beethoven #6.
The unfinished Symphony.
I am a sustaining member & love your station. I listen via my computer every day. It makes my day. Thanks
