Is Christmas caroling a lost tradition in this fast-paced, instant gratification, digital world we live in? Maybe not - at least not in the Twin Cities. On three different nights this past week I've spotted carolers out and about, braving the cold. One group even had luminaries! What a wonderful holiday tradition carried out by some hearty and musical souls.
Caroling IS alive and well in Minnesota and I have been doing more this year than ever before. It is a fabulous experience I recommend to everyone, whether they can carry a tune or not (you don't have to sing to be part of the experience). Whether you sing indoors (at Regions Hospital last week) or outside going door-to-door (in Deephaven with friends Sunday evening - gorgeous!) it makes the Christmas season. And for those who can't get out and about it's the best present ever!
