The Way We Sing Now

Soho the Dog is the name of an always-lively blog kept by Matthew Guerrieri, a composer in the Boston area. In a recent post, he wonders about hymns: why some hymns get winnowed out, others not.

His explanation as to why some titles don't show up in newer hymnals? It's not theology; it's just that people can't sing them any more.
