Even as one musician (Condoleeza Rice) is leaving the Cabinet, another one is on her way in: Janet Napolitano, Secretary for Homeland Security (nominee), and clarinetist.
She's also an opera fan--perhaps she'll appear in opera in Washington, carrying on the tradition of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia?
