Regine Crespin

More sad news, following on the news about Beverly Sills. Not quite as big a name (but who could be?), but Playbill is reporting the death of the French soprano Regine Crespin, at 80.

Music lovers with long memories may remember her performing here in Northrop Auditorium, on tour with the Met: their famous production of Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites. . . .
