Changing times for Rockwell

Often in this space, we find ourselves noting intersections between classical music and popular music. There are few writers who navigate that territory as knowledgeably and compellingly as John Rockwell. So I was sorry to learn, in this story, that as of January we won't see his work in The New York Times anymore.

Here's hoping his crossover into retirement isn't totally silent.
