If all the hubbub down in Iowa has put you in the mood for voting, you may be in luck next week if you live in Minneapolis.

Voters in Senate District 59 will go to the polls next Tuesday to elect a replacement for DFL Sen. Larry Pogemiller, who was appointed to run the state Office of Higher Education.

There's also a seat to fill in House District 61B. Jeff Hayden resigned to run for the Minnesota Senate. Hayden won in October.

37 of Minneapolis' 131 precincts will be voting. You can find maps and specific voter info here.

If you still need to get up to speed on the candidates and the issues, you've got a few more chances.

Tonight the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood Association holds a candidate forum for the 61B race, and moderated by the League of Women Voters. It begins at 7:30 PM and will include 60 minutes of questions and statements.
