Sgt. Emilio Campo Jr., 20, of Madelia was the 68th military member who called Minnesota home and who died in the Iraq War.

The list of those who gave their lives in Iraq includes names from across Minnesota. No part of the state was spared a loss.

As the final troops prepare to leave Iraq after more than eight years of conflict, there isn't any cost as real and as painful as those killed in the conflict.

How do we assess what was won and what was lost?
