Why the games aren't played on paper

Mark Buehrle entered last night's game with a 21-11 against the Twins. Only Mike Mussina with 22 has racked up more wins against the local nine.

Kevin Slowey was shelled the last time he faced the White Sox on the South Side surviving just three innings while surrendering eight earned runs. In his last three outings Slowey looked equally dismal with posting an ERA of 7.50.

So it goes with out saying that the team that hits lefties about as well as Chris, David, Than and I do roughs up Buehrle for five runs in five innings while Kevin Slowey pitches a six-hit complete game shutout.

Go figure.

Tonight the Twins face Clayton Richard who struck out seven in his major league debut last week but only lasted four innings and gave up four earned runs.

What can we expect tonight? Apparently I'm not the best guy to answer that after yesterday's post. Historically the Twins have made recent call-ups looks like the second coming of Cy Young. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong like they did last night.
