Though the season is only three weeks old, I thought I'd take a quick peek at how some former Twins are doing with their new teams. I'll update these numbers as the season goes on.
Torii Hunter, LA Angels: Despite a slow start in his return to the Metrodome, Torii is making the Angels look pretty smart right now, hitting .319/.382/.580, with 4 home runs and 11 RBI. But watch out for those California drivers, Torii.
Carlos Silva, Seattle Mariners: The Twins were looking pretty smart during Spring Training, when Carlos was sporting an ERA above 9, but the enigmatic Silva has gotten off to a great start for the Mariners (3-0 with a 2.79 ERA, and 1.14 WHIP). Pitcher-friendly Safeco Field might be just the thing Silva needed.
Johan Santana, New York Mets: Much has been made of Santana getting booed in his first start at Shea, but Johan responded with a terrific outing against the Phillies on Friday night. He's now 2-2 with a 3.28 ERA. The long ball continues to be a problem though, as he's already given up 5 home runs. But opponents are hitting a mere .196 against him.
