A batting champs should swing the bat

Kudos to Jon Marthaler of TwinkieTown for capturing the frustration so many Twins fans have with Joe Mauer.
Kids are taught at an early age to get on base any way you can. But when you have a lineup like the Twins do, the best hitters need to take a few cuts because there are two to three automatic outs each time through the lineup.
I wonder if sales of Mauer’s QuickSwing slow when he keeps the bat on his shoulder.
