...maybe the Ankiel story isn't so great after all. The NY Daily News is reporting this morning that Ankiel received a 12-month supply of human growth hormone in 2004 from a Florida pharmacy that was part of an illegal prescription drug ring. The article reports that Ankiel stopped receiving the shipments before the 2005 season, when HGH was officially banned by Major League Baseball. A physician quoted in the story says the list of possible uses by a healthy man in his 20s is "extremely narrow."
Stay tuned.
