The 40-something's did pretty well last night. The trio of former and current Atlanta Braves--Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and John Smoltz--all won their games, while Jamie Moyer pitched 6 innings of no-hit ball in a game that Philadelphia eventually lost. Woody Williams also pitched fairly well in a no-decision. Roger Clemens was the only one to lose, and in the process failed to record a strikeout for the first time in 200 starts.
Twins reliever Dennys Reyes has appeared in the first three games of this series against the Blue Jays, recording 5 outs on 6 pitches.
In Phildelphia, Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard hit his 100th home run in his 325th game. That's the fastest any plare has reached that mark, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
And at the Metrodome today, Blue Jays DH Frank Thomas hit his 500th career home run.
