The two shoe-ins for the Hall of Fame were in on their first ballot: Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken, Jr. Some notable players are still just under the radar, including Gossage, Rice, Dawson, and Blyleven. Mark McGwire was the biggest standout for not making the cut, getting only 23.5% in the voting, which is a big sign that the voters are not keen to the whole steroids thing.
