Santana wins second AL Cy Young Award
Johan Santana led the AL in every major category, including wins (19), ERA (2.77) and strikeouts (245). Fittingly, Minnesota's ace unanimously won his second Cy Young award.
Sandy Koufax of the Los Angeles Dodgers is the only pitcher to win a Cy Young award three times unanimously (and he did it when it was given to only one pitcher in both leagues).
