Matt Garza won the Minor League Pitcher of the Year Award for 2006 as he rocketed through the Twins farm system into the starting rotation of the big club, going 14-4 with a 1.99 ERA, 154 strikeouts, 32 walks and a .179 batting average against in his time in the minors. Congrats, Matt!
Not to be outdone, Pat Neshek won AAA Reliever of the Year with his amazing stuff via his "unique" delivery. Neshek went 6-2 with a 1.95 ERA, 14 saves, and held opposing batters to a meager .189 average in the minors. Congrats, Pat!
