Brewers trade Lee to Rangers, get Cordero
The Brewers are sending slugger Carlos Lee and minor league outfield prospect Nelson Cruz to the Rangers for relief pitcher Francisco Cordero and outfielders Kevin Mench and Laynce Nix.
Hmm, methinks the Brewers just got a helluva deal. Apparently El Picante (the new chorizo sausage racer) was included earlier in the deal, but the Brewers could not lose such a prized young prospect.

It's a better deal for the Rangers. They get Carlos Lee and gave up a pitcher who lost his job as a closer and Kevin Mench (who is an uglier version of Michael Cuddyer).
I am bitter that the Twins couldn't have done something to sway the Brew Crew to send him our way. Lee went for a bunch of guys who are not impact players. We missed out on another opportunity.
By the way... I have updated my "For the love of the game" twins blog to the new address: www.mntwinstalk.com. I would appreciate it if you could update your blogroll.
