Magic numbers and end games

Two dozen games to go. The White Sox and Cardinals are the only teams that have magic numbers (15 and 10, respectively). If the Twins don't sweep the wild card-leading Indians, is there anything besides a mathematical chance that makes you still think the Twins can get a playoff spot? Will the upcoming series against Oakland even matter?
