Watching the season slip away...

Now that the Twins lost 3 of 5 to the not-so-toothless Tigers and have trips to New York and Boston looming, you have to wonder if this is it for the Twins 2005 playoff hopes. Personally, I’ll be happy if the Twinkies go 3-3 this week, but I think 1-5 or 2-4 is far more likely. It won’t get any easier next week as the local nine comes home to face the resurgent A’s for four followed by the Red Sox (who broke the curse last year, if you hadn’t heard) annual visit to the Dome. That’s a gauntlet-like 13 game stretch. I say, they win no more than five of them. How about you?

Oh yeah, and Bret Boone is completely washed up......
