Attorney General: Bill Luther

SNAPSHOT
Former U.S. Rep. Bill Luther jumped into the DFL race for attorney general on the last day of candidate filing, after the party's endorsed candidate Matt Entenza dropped out of the race. Luther has been out of politics for the past four years, since he lost his bid for re-election in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District to Republican John Kline. Luther had defeated Kline twice before.

Luther reportedly had been recruited by current Attorney General Mike Hatch to run for the position, even before Entenza withdrew.

Luther lost his AG bid when he finished a distance third in a three-DFLer race.
