- House passes Sunday liquor sales bill; now a tougher battle looms in the Senate

- Lawmakers move to hem in authority of Met Council
Lawmakers moved to clamp down on the Metropolitan Council on Monday, with measures to restructure the body and turn back one of its signature efforts, building the Southwest Light Rail Transit line. | Resolution would shift light rail funds to roads, bridges
- Klobuchar wants independent commission to investigate Trump's possible Russia ties
Klobuchar says the group should model the 9/11 commission, which was made up of experts, not elected officials. The independent commission would supplement a Senate intelligence committee probe, which Klobuchar says should be thorough.
- Red Crescent: 74 bodies of migrants wash ashore in Libya
A spokesperson said a torn rubber boat was found nearby and that he expected more bodies to surface as such boats usually carry up to 120 people.
