Erik Nycklemoe

As Director of Network Initiatives for the American Public Media group of companies, Erik Nycklemoe's areas of responsibility include acquisitions, researching and pursuing business opportunities and serving in interim leadership roles, including as Managing Director of Technology/CTO and Director of Classical Music Programming, where he envisioned and helped to launch, Play It Forward, MN's first statewide used instrument campaign for schools. Erik has been involved in the purchase of more than 20 stations and translators in four states; the construction of the Classical South Florida headquarters; and spearheading MPR's involvement in Hunger Free MN, a corporate/nonprofit collaboration to eradicate hunger in the state. From 2002-2008 Erik was MPR's Director of Radio and Broadcasting and responsible for news and classical music programming, operations and network stations. Prior to that he was Program Director at Arizona Public Radio, News Director at New Hampshire Public Radio and was a producer at National Public Radio. Erik has a BA from St. Olaf College and a MA in Theology from Harvard University. He grew up in Fergus Falls and resides in St. Paul with his wife Kristin, two daughters, Siri and Liv and a one-year-old golden retriever named Leo.
