Mary Nease, senior vice president and chief audience development officer, joined American Public Media in 2006. In her role, she leads the membership, marketing, communications, research, creative and audience services teams, focusing on attracting new, larger and more diverse audiences for all APM programming. Previously, she served as senior vice president of shared services and chief human resources officer for the company, where she oversaw all aspects of human resources including talent recruitment and performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and diversity, training and leadership development, as well as shared services, including marketing and communications, and live events.
Prior to joining American Public Media, Mary was vice president of corporate human resources for Travelers (formerly St. Paul Companies) in St. Paul, Minn. and US Bancorp Piper Jaffray in Minneapolis. Mary holds a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
